Note on audition repertoire selection: Due to time and cost restraints, orchestral accompaniment parts must be available at reasonable cost from a music publisher or rental agency in the US. Your school or private music teacher should be able to assist you in verifying this if necessary. Please check into this ahead of time. The FLSO has the right to cancel a performance or request that a different piece be performed if orchestral parts are not easily accessible or too cost prohibitive.

Competition procedure: Performing from memory is preferred, but not mandatory. Please arrive at least 15 min. prior to your audition time. You will be provided a warm-up room. Competition results are final. Candidates will be notified in writing within a week of auditions.
