2010 Finger Lakes Symphony Young Artist Competition RESULTS
Congratulations go out to all who participated in the 2010 Finger Lakes Symphony Young Artist Competition. The judging committee was extremely impressed with the high level of musicianship this year. There were many candidates who deserved to win. This year, three students were chosen to solo with the FLSO in a concert on Sat. April 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Palmyra. In addition, soloists each received a cash award of $100.

- Demian Spindler, trumpet
- Matthew Wedig, clarinet

Diego Garcia
The Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra is very fortunate to have as conductor and music director, Diego Garcia. Originally from Cali, Colombia, Mr. Garcia is currently on the cello faculty of the Eastman School of Music Pre-College division and Music Director of the Eastman String Fellowship Orchestra.
